Pinter & Martin acquires YogaWords

Independent Pinter & Martin has made a full acquisition of yoga book publisher YogaWords for an undisclosed sum.

YogaWords, which was established in 2008 by online yoga shop Yogamatters in partnership with Pinter & Martin, will become wholly-owned by the latter on 1st January 2015.

As a result of the acquisition, Zoë Blanc, former publishing coordinator at YogaWords, will join Pinter & Martin as publishing manager and commissioning editor of the YogaWords list.

Pinter & Martin’s m.d Martin Wagner said: “The acquisition of YogaWords will strengthen both companies further in a competitive market. Our existing yoga authors Vanda Scaravelli and Sandra Sabatini will join the new YogaWords imprint and we look forward to continuing our fruitful relationship with Yogamatters over the coming years.” 

YogaWords' leading titles include Yoni Shakti by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Yoga Sadhana for Mothers by Anna Wise and Sharmila Desai. YogaWords also publishes John Scott, Christian Pisano, Dona Holleman and Jennifer Ellinghaus.
