Rowling pens second Fantastic Beasts film

J K Rowling has already written the script for the second Fantastic Beasts film, according to the director David Yates.

In a video interview with Reuters, Yates said she has finished the script for the second film and already has ideas for the third. Producers Warner Bros had already announced that Fantastic Beasts would be a trilogy, scheduling the films for release in 2016, 2018 and 2020.

The first film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be released on 18th November. Based on the book of the same name (published by Bloomsbury in 2001), the film follows the adventures of Newt Scamander, who writes about magical creatures, as he arrives in New York.  

The screenplay will be published by Little, Brown.
