Miriam Rosenbloom, commissioning editor of Scribe’s children’s imprint Scribble, has acquired the world rights for Jennifer Higgie’s debut children’s picture book, There’s Not One.
Higgie, the co-editor of art publication Frieze Magazine, has created a book using collaged images, inspired in part by the cut-out pictures by Matisse and based on the idea of being both unique and part of something greater.
Rosenbloom said: “Jennifer’s book is a glorious ode to the big and small of the world around us. It makes you feel joyous just by turning the pages—no small feat in this day and age—and I can’t wait to share it with readers.”
Scribble will publish There’s Not One as a 28-page in November this year, priced at £10.99.
