Corvus is to publish the second thriller from Holly Seddon titled Don't Close Your Eyes, in 2017.
Sara O’Keeffe, editorial director at Corvus, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) from Nicola Barr at Greene & Heaton for Don’t Close Your Eyes by Seddon, author of Try Not to Breathe.
The paperback of Seddon’s debut Try Not to Breathe has sold 70,000 print copies and 60,000 e-books, according to the publisher.
Don't Close Your Eyes tells the story of two twins: Robin and Sarah, who were "taken from one another" in their youth. Now, in her early 30s, Robin lives alone. Agoraphobic and suffering from panic attacks, she spends her days pacing the rooms of her house. The rest of the time she watches the street, the houses, the neighbours. Until one day, she sees something she shouldn't.
O’Keeffe said: "After the great success of Holly Seddon’s debut, Try Not to Breathe, we’re thrilled to be able to publish a second stunning novel from this new star in the thriller firmament. Don’t Close Your Eyes is a grippingly tense, page-turning read with a plot that will leave you reeling and a cast of characters so richly imagined, you won’t be able to look away for a moment. I can’t remember the last time I read a thriller so affecting and impactful. Corvus will be putting everything behind this publication in 2017, and look forward to making Don’t Close Your Eyes into a major bestseller."
Corvus will publish Don’t Close Your Eyes in July 2017.
