HarperCollins Non-Fiction has bought the first cookbook by Simon Rogan, founder of the L’Enclume restaurant.
The book, as yet untitled, will showcase a range of British recipes and Rogan’s love for fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Publishing director Grace Cheetham acquired world rights in all languages from Borra Garson at Deborah McKenna Ltd and will publish in April 2018.
She said: "We're thrilled to be publishing Simon's first book. Throughout the culinary world, Simon is revered. Renowned for the clarity of ethos he brings to his different restaurants, as well as a brilliant reputation for artistry, innovation and excellence, his talent and vision shine through. Many cookbooks have been published by chefs but Simon is uniquely placed to write a definitive cookbook that changes the tenor of cookery publishing."
As well as setting up L’Enclume, which has two Michelin stars, Rogan is responsible for the menu at Claridge’s Fera restaurant. He is also a mentor on the BBC’s Great British Menu programme.
He said: “I'm thrilled and excited to be writing a cookbook. I want to distil everything that I love about food and cooking into recipes that work for people in their own kitchens.”
