S&S picks up Furnivall

Simon & Schuster has acquired a novel by former Little, Brown author Kate Furnivall as part of a two-book deal.

Jo Dickinson, publishing director for fiction, bought UK and Commonwealth rights for The Liberation from the Teresa Chris Literary Agency.

The novel, which will be published in the UK in November, was described by Dickinson as “extraordinarily powerful and evocative”.
