Canongate has revealed the title for Matt Haig and Chris Mould's third children's Christmas book: Father Christmas and Me.
The children's book, illustrated by Mould, is slated for publication on 12th October 2017. It was first announced in October, when world rights were acquired by publishing director Francis Bickmore from Clare Conville at Conville & Walsh. Rights have since been sold in Canada to HarperColins and in France to Helium.
Canongate has sold A Boy Called Christmas into 22 territories and The Girl Who Saved Christmas into 17, including to HarperCollins in Canada and Knopf in the US.
Andrea Joyce, rights director at Canongate, said: "Matt Haig’s Christmas books are an international phenomenon. With rights to A Boy Called Christmas sold to 22 countries, children all over the world will be waking up to a magical Matt Haig/Chris Mould Christmas this December with the excitement of knowing that there are two more books still to come. We are beyond thrilled at how brilliantly these books are travelling."
Francis Bickmore, Canongate editorial director, added: "With over 150,000 copies of Matt Haig's Christmas children's books already in print in the UK alone, we're thrilled about how readers and retailers have taken to the first two books in the series. At Canongate we could not be more excited about taking the series to a whole new level in 2017. With a dream team like Matt Haig and Chris Mould, the sky is the limit."
