Transworld Publishers has signed a deal for two more books by Unmumsy Mum author and blogger Sarah Turner.
The first title, The Unmumsy Mum Diary, will be published in hardback on 23rd February 2017.
Michelle Signore, editorial director, bought UK and Commonwealth rights for The Unmumsy Mum Diary and an as-yet-untitled third book from Hannah Ferguson at Hardman and Swainson.
Signore said: "I’m so thrilled to be publishing more books with Sarah. She’s a phenomenal writer, whose candid and hilarious observations about motherhood have been a tonic to thousands of parents. The prospect of a diary format for Sarah’s next book is so exciting as she will have the chance to share her innermost thoughts – and her spot-on insights – about her year with her readers."
Turner said: "I am staggered by the success of my first book and I am proud, too, as I continue to receive messages from parents who tell me they have found reassurance in my warts and all account of motherhood. I am thrilled to once again be working with the Transworld team and can't wait to deliver the next instalment of the parenting adventure."
Turner, who lives in Devon with her husband and their two boys, started writing as "The Unmumsy Mum" as a response to unrealistic "glossy parenting literature" she had read online. She has 456,000 likes on Facebook and 125,000 followers on Instagram, while her "not-a-parenting-manual" debut, The Unmumsy Mum, sold 74,000 print copies through Nielsen BookScan, according to Transworld.
