Headline is set to publish the first book by British pop rock group The Vamps this autumn.
The boy group, consisting of Brad Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, was signed to Mercury Records in 2012 after first releasing music videos on YouTube. The band’s yet-to-titled autobiography will be released on 20th October 2016 and feature exclusive behind-the-scenes photography. In addition, 2,000 limited edition copies of the title will be released exclusively through Amazon.
Headline said the band had “gone from schoolboys to superstardom in just a few years", and for the first time Connor, Brad, Tristan and James will "tell their story”.
“From life on the road to dealing with their new-found fame, nothing is off-limits,” the publisher said.
The band has released two albums and supported the likes of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
Together they said: “We are so excited to be releasing our first book this year with Headline. It’s going to be full of stories and photos we’ve never shared before, and we can’t wait for our fans to read it.”
Headline’s Holly Harris acquired world rights to the title from Prestige Management.
She said: “Headline is thrilled to be working with The Vamps on their first book. They are massively talented and charismatic, with a great story of how they went from posting song covers on YouTube in their bedrooms to selling out the O2 and global tours in an astonishingly short time. We can’t wait to publish it this autumn.”
Both the hardback and e-book will be priced £16.99.
