Walker plans 80 indie Christmas displays

Walker Books has secured window displays in independent bookshops this Christmas, including London’s Dulwich Bookshop and Tales on Moon Lane.

The shops, which are in the UK and Ireland, will be based around Walker’s Christmas books, such as Jingle Bells illustrated by Niroot Puttapipat, as well as other popular titles like Can't You Sleep Little Bear? by Martin Waddell and illustrated by Barbara Firth, and Tales From Shakespeare by Marcia Williams.

Sales and marketing director Ed Ripley said: “Walker has always had a great relationship with Independent bookshops and I am really pleased that we have been able to support our Indie friends and partners with great Christmas display point of sale. I must say we are delighted at the level of take-up – over 80 shops - and hope it helps to drive footfall and sales.”

Other bookshops taking part include Dubray Bookstores in Ireland, the Edinburgh Bookshop in Scotland and Jaffe and Neal Books in Oxfordshire.
