Milo Yiannopoulos has followed up on his promise to self-publish after Simon & Schuster US dropped him.
Dangerous is already listed as a "number one Bestseller" on Amazon.com's book chart after the title was registered for pre-orders on Tuesday (6th June). It has list price of $30 and a cover photo featuring a black and white image of the former Breitbard editor. The Kindle edition retails at $12.88. The 288-page book will be printed by the right-wing commentator's new publishing business, Dangerous Editions.
The description says: "The liberal media machine did everything they could to keep this book out of your hands. Now, finally, Dangerous, the most controversial book of the decade, is tearing down safe spaces everywhere."
Earlier on Tuesday (7th June) Yiannopoulos posted on his Facebook page "We're winning -- all over again" with a link to a www.truthrevolt.org/news/milo-yiannopouloss-self-published-book-soars-1-amazon-month-publication">Truth Revolt article about his book "soaring" to number one on Amazon a month before publication.
Yiannopoulos announced plans to self-publish Dangerous last month and vowed to sue S&S US for $10m. The controversial commentator was offered a contract with S&S US reportedly worth $250,000 with the title due to have been published by its imprint Threshold Editions. However, the publisher backed out of the contract in February after a video interview emerged in which Yiannopoulus appeared to endorse sex between “younger boys” and older men.
