Dr Alex George’s mental health guide A Better Day (Wren & Rook) climbed atop the Children’s chart, rising 33% in volume week on week to 4,296 copies sold. This was its highest weekly sale since its publication in mid-September. It also marks the first time a kids’ non-fiction title has claimed the overall Children’s number one since Marcus Rashford and Carl Anka’s You Can Do It (Macmillan Children’s) did so back in early August.
Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (Electric Monkey) rose into the Children’s & YA Fiction number one, as Jeff Kinney’s Big Shot (Puffin), out in paperback, débuted in second place. Kinney’s title was the only new entry in that category chart, with the author’s Diper Överlöde (Puffin) also featuring, in fourth position.
