Children's: Father's Day titles assemble but Badger's Band hits the right chord
In the Pre-school top 20, Mr Men Little Miss My Daddy (Farshore) rose, though Bluey: Daddy Putdown (Ladybird) dropped from the top spot as Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Badger’s Band (Macmillan Children’s) débuted at number one.
Michael Bond’s The Adventures of Paddington (HarperCollins) climbed into 12th, following the character’s starring role in the Jubilee weekend celebrations. Children’s & YA was once again topped by David Walliams and Adam Stower’s The World’s Worst Pets (HarperCollins), with Alice Oseman’s Heartstopper series (Hodder Children’s) dominating the top 10. A new 25th-anniversary edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Bloomsbury) débuted in third, with Jacqueline Wilson’s The Magic Faraway Tree (Hodder Children’s) also débuting, in 20th.
