David Walliams and Adam Stower’s The World’s Worst Pets (HarperCollins) spent an eighth week in the Children’s top spot, the longest run for any book in the chart since (of course) Walliams and Tony Ross’ Megamonster across summer 2021.
Marcus Rashford and Alex Falase-Koya’s The Breakfast Club Adventures (Macmillan Children’s) climbed into sixth place, breaking Alice Oseman’s near-blanket dominance of the top 10. The Heartstopper author has now sold nearly half a million books in the two months since the Netflix adaptation of her graphic novel series dropped.
Tola Okogwu’s début Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun (S&S)—the Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month for June—moved into the Children’s & YA Fiction chart in 19th place.
