Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s The Baddies (Alison Green) cruised into a third week atop the Children’s number one, as Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Garry Parsons’s The Dinosaur that Pooped Halloween! (Puffin) became the highest new entry. Seasonal favourites crowded into the Pre-School chart, with Allan and Janet Ahlberg’s Funnybones (Puffin) and David Walliams and Tony Ross’ Little Monsters (HarperCollins) bouncing upwards, and The Gruffalo and Friends Advent Calendar Book Collection 2022 (Macmillan) débuting in fourth.
Cressida Cowell’s Which Way to Anywhere (Hodder Children’s) claimed the Children’s and YA Fiction number one. Though An Inspector Calls (Heinemann) remained solid atop Children’s Non-Fiction, Dr Alex George’s A Better Day (Wren & Rook) scored second place
