Steph Broadribb’s Death in the Sunshine, the first in the author’s The Retired Detective Club series, has lit up the Bookstat e-book number one. This is Broadribb’s first ever appearance in the Bookstat chart since The Bookseller began running it in January 2020. It was joined at the top by an author familiar to regular perusers of the Bookstat chart—L J Ross, whose self-published title Mania débuted in second place.
Susan Lewis’ I Have Something to Tell You, Chad Zunker’s Family Money, and Kristin Hannah’s The Four Winds also entered the top five for the week ending 5th March. Lee Child’s Die Trying, the second title in
the Jack Reacher series, pummelled into seventh place—perhaps fans of the Amazon Prime Video
adaptation, which covers the events of the first book Killing Floor, are already getting a jump on
season two.
Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club returned to the Publisher E-Book Ranking number
one for the week ending 26th February, as Marian Keyes’ originally 1997-published Rachel’s Holiday
jumped up to join it in second place. Claire Douglas’ The Couple at No 9 beat Osman’s second title, The
Man Who Died Twice, to third place. L J Ross’ Mania moved into second place in the Bookstat chart
