Susan Lewis’ I Have Something To Tell You (HarperCollins) claimed the Bookstat e-book number one for the week ending 26th March, in its fourth week in the chart—after two straight weeks in the runner-up spot. It was joined by J D Kirk’s Southpaw (Zertex Crime), which made its début in second place, and Sally Page’s The Keeper of Stories (One More Chapter), which rose into third. Tim Sullivan’s The Patient (Head of Zeus) was the second highest new entry, in fifth place.
A rare appearance by a cookbook in the digital chart saw Siobhan Wightman’s Slimming Eats (Yellow Kite) weigh in at eighth.
Harlan Coben’s The Match (Penguin) struck the Publisher E-Book Ranking number one, débuting at the top for the week ending 19th March. The author’s multi-million-dollar Netflix deal seems to have made him even more than a household name than ever, particularly in the e-book charts—the adaptation of his title Stay Close saw it chart just weeks ago—and as we know, television, and streaming services especially, lend themselves well to one-click impulse e-book buys. Erica James’ Mothers and Daughters (HQ) notched up second place—perhaps as a self-gifted Mother’s Day buy—and current Mass-Market Fiction number one Lucinda Riley’s The Missing Sister (Pan) boomeranged back to the chart in eighth.
Clarification: Hachette has stated that Slimming Eats has sold 6,653 copies.
