Douglas Murray’s The War on the West (HarperCollins) débuted in the Hardback Non-fiction number one, selling 11,673 copies and knocking Dr Julie Smith’s Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? (Michael Joseph) from the category chart top spot. Tina Brown’s Windsor exposé The Palace Papers (Century) followed closely behind, charting third in Hardback Non-fiction, as Safiyya Vorajee’s Loving You and Losing You, Azaylia (Ebury Spotlight), Sara Davies’ We Can All Make It (Bantam) and former Leyton Orient owner Barry Hearn’s My Life (Hodder) also hit the category chart.
The BBC Proms Guide 2022 couldn’t wrestle the Paperback Non-fiction number one from The Official Highway Code (Stationery Office), which spent a fourth week at the top.
