Alan Bennett’s House Arrest (Profile) and Sam Knight’s The Premonitions Bureau (Faber)—a Book of the Month pick in this organ’s non-fiction preview—débuted in fourth and fifth.
The Official Highway Code (TSO) revved into a fourth week in the Paperback Non-Fiction number one slot, as Wim “The Iceman” Hof’s The Wim Hof Method (Rider) climbed into second and Sharon Jones’ TikTok-boosted Burn After Writing (Pop Press) completed the top three. Amy Jeffs’ Storyland (riverrun) débuted in fourth place, as Jordan Peterson’s Beyond Order (Penguin) swiped 16th—its 2019-published predecessor, 12 Rules for Life (Penguin), boomeranged back into the chart to join it, in 20th place.
