Part 1: Books, Authors & Illustrators | The British Book Awards 2021

Welcome to The 2021 British Book Awards (aka The Nibbies, aka THE publishing event of the year). The book trade shone from every possible corner in 2020, with publishers, retailers, agents and authors pushing far beyond what we’d ever imagined possible in the most extreme conditions. This ceremony is a celebration of all that the industry achieved in an unimaginably challenging year.

The first half of the show features awards given to our Book of the Year winners: authors from nine categories across fiction, non-fiction and children’s, a new Pageturner category, plus awards for Author of the Year, Illustrator of the Year and an overall Book of the Year.
