Turning the page: What's ahead for young readers

BookTrust research shows that by mid childhood the time spent by families reading to their children and their enjoyment of reading begins to decline, a problem that can pass from one generation to the next through a cycle of sustained reading behaviours. From research conducted through interviews, discussion groups and online diaries, Catford will explore families’ unarticulated needs, the drivers and barriers to breaking this cycle and how we can get all families reading.
