Showcasing the best children’s books across nine categories, The Week Junior Book Awards aim to inspire children to read for pleasure. The awards was created in partnership with The Bookseller to step into the void of previous children’s books prizes and to further amplify children’s writing. Ahead of the winners ceremony, Anna Bassi, judge Katherine Woodfine and Philip Jones discuss the founding of the awards, lessons from its first year, and why TWJ has such a year-round focus on children’s literature.
