Former librarian Kate Milner centre left won this year’s Klaus Flugge Prize for My Name is Not Refugee (Barrington Stoke). Milner was joined by L-R Lauren Child, Klaus Flugge and Victoria Semykina at the ceremony, which took place on Wednesday 12th September.

Anthony Forbes Watson right presented Hunting Raven’s Wayne Winstone and Tina Gaisford Waller with an Independent Bookshop Innovation Award at the Bookseller Association’s dinner on Monday 10th September. The other bookshops honoured at the event were From the Madding Crowd, Imagined Things, Mostly Books, Moon Lane Ink and Newham Bookshop.

Author and illustrator Fiona Woodcock centre left launched her latest picture book Look (HarperCollins) at south west London's The Bright Emporium on Sunday 9th September. L-R Serena Stent, Fiona Lumbers, Woodcock, Vicki Willden-Lebrecht, Grant Orchard and Pete Western.

Author and historian Lucy Worsley joined Chorleywood Bookshop on Saturday 8th September to celebrate the publication of Queen Victoria (Hodder). 

Illustrator Sheena Dempsey left and Fearne Cotton signed copies of their latest title Hungry Babies (Andersen Press) at Waterstones Piccadilly on Friday 7th September.
