AI showcase: Narration labelling

Developments in AI narration are moving so fast that it is becoming difficult to keep up if you work in the industry, let alone as a consumer. Terms for different kinds of AI narration are being used interchangeably – digital voice, synthetic narration, cloning, replication – what does it all mean?

Against this background, international publishers, distributors and retailers have come together to establish some guidelines and an international language to allow producers, retailers and, most importantly, consumers, to distinguish between different AI narration types and products.

Jon Watt will give a short presentation outlining new international guidelines for naming and identifying different types of AI narration in audiobooks.
