From prizewinners to translated hits, film adaptations to cult successes, independent publishers in the UK are punching way above their weight. And a recent survey from the IPG showed that more than half of their members had sales uplifts in the past year, while revenue was up abroad. This session brings together a group of outstanding UK indie presses to discuss how they make it work, the challenges and opportunities they face in a difficult climate, what they’re planning for the future and what they need from the industry (and elsewhere) to continue to make an impact and grow.
