Macmillan has promoted Andrew Kidd from publisher of Picador to publisher of Pan Macmillan fiction, including Picador, in one of a number of editorial changes across the trade division.
Picador senior editorial director Ursula Doyle has been promoted to deputy publisher of Picador, while Stephanie Sweeney, formerly Picador marketing director, joins the editorial department as creative director for publishing. Marie Gray--until now head of marketing for Pan Macmillan fiction--has been promoted to marketing director for Pan Macmillan adult books for the four months to January when she will emigrate to Australia.
A Macmillan spokesman said Kidd's appointment would help "lead the fiction team forward, helping to refine and sharpen the quality of our publishing in all areas of commercial fiction".
