Heather Parry, Carrie Marshall and Ross McFarlane are among the writers featured in 404 Ink’s queer writing anthology, Fierce Salvage, published as part of the Queer Words Project.
The Queer Words Project, co-ordinated by Michael Lee Richardson and Ryan Vance, offers paid mentorships to five emerging queer writers in Scotland. The mentors, who have worked with the five mentees over the past year, include Shola von Reinhold, Mae Diansangu, Parry, Colin Herd and Marshall. The project culminates in the anthology published by 404 Ink that brings together the work from all the participants as well as those from an open call for submissions.
Publishing in January 2025, Fierce Salvage follows on from We Were Always Here, the project’s inaugural title released in 2019.
