Bonnier Books UK imprint 535 has acquired the third volume of photos from the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.
Senior editor Joel Simons acquired world all language rights from Natalie Galustian at DHH Literary Agency. Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards Vol. 3 will be published on 3rd October.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards receives thousands of entries every year and are backed by the global conservation charity Born Free. The 2018 winner was a shot by Mary McGowan of an open-mouthed, shocked looking squirrel titled “Caught in the Act”.
The book, from founders Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, promises “the best and never-seen-before photographs of wildlife ever printed”.
This year’s competition closes on 30th June and final cover will be selected from shortlisted entries.
Simons said: “I’m delighted to be working with the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards team again on another wonderful collection of images from around the world! The work the competition does to raise awareness on animal conservation is unbelievably important and feels more timely this year than ever before.
“The competition and the accompanying book are a wonderful celebration of global wildlife and a reminder that, beyond the doom and gloom around climate change, there is a world of wildlife out there to be celebrated and adored.”
