Actor Tuppence Middleton will narrate Stacey Halls’ "most ambitious and captivating novel yet", The Household.
Middleton is well known for her role playing Lucy in "Downton Abbey" and recently starred in the ITV series "Our House" and the film "Lord of Misrule". She is currently playing in Sam Mendes’ "The Motive and the Cue" at the Noël Coward Theatre, London.
Halls’ new historical fiction novel is set against the backdrop of Charles Dickens’ "home for fallen women" and will be published in hardback, audio and e-book on 11th April with Manilla Press. Halls commented: "I am over the moon to have Tuppence Middleton bring The Household to life. She has been standout in every drama I’ve seen her in, and I can’t wait for her to bring her warmth and vulnerability to the pages of my book.”
"Stacey has an incredible ability to create a set of intricate and compelling characters and has done so in abundance throughout this novel," said Middleton. "I already know that Angela, Mrs Holdsworth and the girls will capture the hearts of listeners, and I cannot wait to bring their moving stories to life.”
