Alice Latham [pictured] is leaving Ebury after 11 years to join Atlantic Books as rights director. She joins Atlantic on 23rd September, replacing Vanessa Kerr.
Kerr meanwhile will become a co-agent at Abner Stein.
Kerr joined Atlantic in 2009 after eight years at Random House and, before that, Orion. Over her decade at Atlantic she worked with authors including Christopher Hitchens, Alistair Darling, Matthew Kneale and Damon Galgut.
Latham joined Ebury in 2008 as rights executive, rising to senior rights manager over her tenure. She has worked with authors including Yotam Ottolenghi, Ruth Rodgers, Professor Steve Peters, Richard Branson and Maurice Saatchi. She said: “After 11 happy years at Ebury, I'm really excited to be moving to Atlantic Books. It will be a pleasure to step into this role and work with such a creative team and incredible list of authors.”
Will Atkinson, m.d. of Atlantic, said of Kerr's departure: “Vanessa has been a fantastic rights director and a much-valued member of the senior team. I wish her all the very best in her new role at Abner Stein." He added: "I look forward to welcoming Alice to Atlantic in September and I know she will bring a wealth of experience to the role.”
