Claire Douglas' The Couple at No 9 (Penguin) has held the Amazon Charts' Most-Sold: Fiction number one spot for a second consecutive week, as Frank Herbert's Dune (Gateway) and Lee and Andrew Child's Better Off Dead (Transworld) rocket into the top three.
Herbert's sci-fi title, buffeted by its film adaptation hitting cinemas this week, climbed to second place, earning the "highly quotable" tag, as Kindle readers highlighted passages more frequently than in other titles. Dune also charted third in Most-Read: Fiction.
Lee Child's second Jack Reacher title co-authored with his brother Andrew soared 14 places to third. It was the "most anticipated" book in the Most-Sold: Fiction top 20, garnering more pre-order sales than any other book in the chart.
Billy Connolly's Windswept & Interesting (Two Roads) and Dave Grohl's The Storyteller (S&S) held the Most-Sold: Non-Fiction top two, with Daisy May Cooper's Don't Laugh, It'll Only Encourage Her (Michael Joseph) debuting in third.
