Lee Child's Blue Moon (Transworld) has retained its double at the top of the Amazon Charts, holding the Most-Read and Most-Sold number ones in Fiction for a second week running. Trisha Ashley's The Christmas Invitation (Transworld) bounded up 11 places in the Most-Sold: Fiction chart to join the new Jack Reacher title at the top, in second place.
David Walliams' The Beast of Buckingham Palace (HarperCollins) also made its first appearance in Most-Sold: Fiction, ahead of its publication on 21st November. It charted in eighth, a place above the TV tie-in for Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials (RHCP), which also debuted in the chart. Jeff Kinney's latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid title, Wrecking Ball (Puffin), hit 10th place and garnered the most pre-orders of any title in the chart, the same week it soared to the top of the Nielsen BookScan charts with 48,848 copies sold.
Adam Kay's Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas (Picador) held the Most-Sold: Non Fiction number one for a fourth week running, but Anne Glenconner's Lady in Waiting (Hodder & Stoughton) zipped up 12 places to claim second. The memoir of Princess Margaret's lady in waiting has no doubt been boosted by the hype for the upcoming third series of Netflix's "The Crown", in which Anne Glenconner features as a character.
Bill Bryson's The Body (Transworld) continued to hold the Most-Read: Non-Fiction number one, with more listeners on Audible than readers on Kindle.
