Later this month, Andersen Press will relocate its office to Coptic Street, Bloomsbury, London.
The move marks the latest development by the publisher to "secure its independent future". The entire staff from Vauxhall Bridge Road will be moved to the new offices that span three floors of a townhouse. The publisher plans to inhabit the remaining two floors when the remaining tenants’ leases expire.
The basement and second floor will be dedicated to staff offices while the ground floor will house an archive of Andersen Press’ years of publishing alongside meeting spaces.
Mark Hendle, m.d., said: "We have been grateful to Penguin Random House for their support and generosity as landlords over the last 30 years. But as we approach a milestone anniversary, this is an opportunity for Andersen Press to invest directly in its independence, and its continuation as a thriving innovative publishing house. The office at Coptic Street allows us to have a permanent home where our staff and archive can come together in a friendly, collaborative space. It is ideal for hybrid working arrangements and creative thinking, and we are all very excited about the move. We look forward to inviting our authors, illustrators and many partners to come and see the space… once we’re unpacked.”
Andersen Press’ new address will be 6 Coptic Street, London, WC1A 1NH from 11th November 2024.
