Dominika Bojanowska has joined Andrew Nurnberg Associates (ANA) Warsaw, to serve alongside Marcin Biegaj as a director of the Polish office, which the organisation says is the first step in opening ANA Kyiv in the Ukrainian capital with Bojanowska as managing director.
Bojanowska joins alongside agents Ania Walczak and Beata Glińska, whose arrival strengthens Andrew Nurnberg Associates’ Polish representation and broadens it to Ukraine, Georgia and the neighbouring Baltic states.
From 4th September 2023, Bojanowska and Biegaj’s eight-strong team will provide
representation for translation clients across Poland, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Georgia. ANA Kyiv will operate initially from ANA’s Warsaw office. ANA Kyiv will relocate to a new home in Ukraine as soon as the war allows.
ANA Kyiv will then remain a sister agency to ANA Warsaw, pooling agenting expertise and operational resources across the six translation markets. As ANA Warsaw and ANA Kyiv have assumed responsibility for Ukraine, Georgia and the Baltic states, Andrew Nurnberg Associates International is closing its Riga office and is ending its working relationship with Tatjana Zoldnere.
Former clients of ANA’s Riga office, and AJA’s Warsaw office, will be offered representation by Biegaj and Bojanowska. Bojanowska, a Warsaw University alumna, has 17 years’ experience in the Polish market, first at Graal and most recently at AJA Warsaw. She handles Polish and Eastern European rights for major Anglophone agencies and publishers.
Bojanowska said: “It’s high time for Kyiv to move into the spotlight on the global rights map, as a vibrant new hub for Central and Eastern European rights. What we are announcing today is only the first step towards this goal, but I am honoured and delighted to be a part of this new ANA venture. A big thank you to Doug [Wallace, managing director, ANA International], Marcin and the ANA Warsaw team for such a warm welcome, all three of us are beyond excited to see what the future holds for ANA Warsaw-Kyiv.”
