Angry Robot Books has acquired two more titles from American author R W W Greene, including Mercury Rising an "exciting alternative history with aliens, an immortal misanthrope and sci-fi tropes aplenty."
The publisher released Greene's debut, The Light Years, in 2020 and will publish Twenty Five Years to Life in August this year.
World English language rights to the two new titles were acquired from Sara Megibow of KT Literary. Mercury Rising will be published in May 2022 and will be followed by a currently untitled sequel in 2023.
Eleanor Teasdale, associate publisher, said: "When we first acquired The Light Years, it was from an open submission and Rob’s writing blew us away with its heart and imagination. I’m so excited to be building an author I’m sure is headed to SFF stardom. Mercury Rising will blow you away: it’s fast, snarky, and smart."
Greene commented: "Angry Robot is a class act, and I’m thrilled to be working with them again. I really can’t think of a better home for a book like Mercury Rising."
