FMcM has announced that Annabel Robinson is rejoining the agency, while Ned Green will be stepping into new role at the PR agency. Robinson is rejoining the agency as communications director, following in-house publicity director roles at Bloomsbury and Welbeck, while Green will take on the role of communications manager.
Robinson moves over from Bloomsbury where, as joint publicity director alongside Fran Owen covering Mari Yamazaki’s maternity leave, she led the team in the adult consumer division. As publicity director at Welbeck she ran campaigns for commercial non-fiction and fiction authors Melanie C, Ruby Wax, Otto English, Wendy Holden and Freya North, among others.
In her previous role at FMcM she managed PR for brand authors Marian Keyes and Ruby Wax, and debuts including Sally Green’s Half Bad, The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion, Maestra by L S Hilton and Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. She also lead campaigns for World Book Day, the Summer Reading Challenge and National Poetry Day.
Green joined the agency in 2021 and, after co-running his own publisher, Toothgrinder Press, Green developed a portfolio of independent presses and poetry at FMcM. She also handled campaigns for Dead Ink Books, Divided Publishing, Seren Books, Scarlett Sabet and Rishi Dastidar. Green also works on PR, digital marketing, content production and social media campaigns for the Cundill History Prize, British Book Awards, Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award, the Forward Prizes for Poetry and the Polari Prizes.
He will work with FMcM’s senior team chief executive officer Fiona McMorrough, communications director Emma Mitchell and director of media relations Kealey Rigden. Green will report to Rigden.
Robinson said: “I couldn’t be more delighted to be rejoining FMcM at this exciting time for the agency. FMcM has undergone a period of real growth over the past few years; and the opportunity to work with Fiona, the dynamic team and the incredible roster of brilliant authors, literary prizes, projects and festivals, was not to be missed. I greatly valued my time working with the talented teams and authors at Bloomsbury and Welbeck and feel excited to be bringing that experience back to agency life and, most crucially, to be in an even stronger position to contribute to FMcM’s continued growth and success. I can’t wait to get started.”
Green said: “I joined FMcM three years ago as an intern with very little experience in the publishing industry, and so I’m thrilled to be stepping up into this new position and hugely grateful to Fiona and the whole team for supporting me on this journey. I feel incredibly lucky to be working alongside such a dynamic, forward-thinking and amazing team of comms legends, and I look forward to continuing to deliver a range of campaigns for all our brilliant authors, prizes and projects.”
McMorrough said: “I am delighted to welcome Annabel back to FMcM who joins the senior team of directors alongside Emma Mitchell, communications director, Kealey Rigden, director of media relations, and Sophie Goodfellow, head of genre. Annabel brings a wealth of experience and her exceptional talent, commitment and dedication to our clients is second to none. I look forward to her working closely with her colleagues and clients to take the agency from strength to strength.
“I am also delighted to announce the promotion of Ned Green to communications manager. In the three years since he joined FMcM, Ned has shown real flair, versatility and has worked incredibly hard on behalf of our clients and has become an integral part of the team.”
