The biennial Jerusalem International Book Forum has opened the application period for its Zev Birger Editorial Fellowship Programme.
Taking place in 2024 between 26th and 29th May in collaboration with the Jerusalem Writers Festival, the Jerusalem International Book Forum is a four-day programme of events including panels, discussion groups, interviews, presentations and informal gatherings, “where publishing professionals can engage in the free exchange of ideas”.
The Zev Birger Editorial Fellowship week-long programme runs parallel to the Jerusalem International Book Forum and aims to focus on “significant issues of interest to the international publishing community”.
At every iteration of the Jerusalem International Book Forum, a group of around 35 editors, publishers, agents and scouts from around the world take part in the programme.
Alumni include agents Sam Coates from RCW Literary Agency and Nicola Chang from David Higham Associates, Transworld editorial director Alex Christofi, Faber & Faber commissioning editor Emmeline Francis and Drummond Moir, incoming managing director of Atlantic Books.
Applications are open until 15th September 2023, and can be made here.
