Atlantic Books has confirmed it will be moving to Macmillan Distribution (MDL) from 1st February 2025 ahead of the planned closure of Grantham Book Services (GBS).
The publisher has said that all orders should continue to be sent to GBS up to and including Friday 31st January 2025. From Saturday 1st February 2025, all orders for books published by Atlantic Books and its associated imprints should be sent to MDL.
Authorised returns of orders placed prior to the last invoicing date at GBS on 31st January 2025, which require processing by 30th April 2025, should be returned and received by GBS no later than 15th April 2025. According to the publisher, no returns will be processed at GBS beyond this date.
Drummond Moir, Atlantic’s Managing Director, said: "We thank GBS for all their support and excellent service over the years, and very much look forward to working with our friends at MDL in the future."
Matthew Hogg, commercial director for Macmillan Distribution, added: "We are delighted that Atlantic Books will be joining us here at MDL in early 2025. This is a list that we have long admired and a welcome addition to our third-party distribution operation. Having distributed for Atlantic’s sister company Murdoch Books here in the UK for over 20 years this feels like a perfect fit and a great opportunity for us to continue to develop our businesses together."
