A&U wins consent exploration Below Deck

Allen & Unwin publisher Kelly Fagan has acquired Australasian rights to 25-year-old Sophie Hardcastle’s Below Deck for a six-figure sum, after a “competitive” auction.

Below Deck is a novel about the vagaries of consent, said The Zeitgeist Agency’s Benython Oldfield, who struck the deal.

Allen & Unwin will publish Below Deck in early 2020. Australian-born Hardcastle resides in Oxford, working as a research assistant at Oxford University.
