Avon Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, has struck a deal to publish two more psychological suspense novels from Sunday Times bestselling author Tess Stimson.
Senior commissioning editor, Tilda McDonald acquired world English rights with Rebecca Ritchie at A M Heath.
The first book in the deal is about a young flower girl who goes missing from a beach wedding and all the guests become suspects. It will be published in summer 2021.
Stimson is the British author of 10 novels, including top 10 bestseller The Adultery Club, and two non-fiction books. Avon is also publishing Stimson's new book, One in Three, on 6th August 2020.
Stimson said: "Avon has handled my transition to this new, darker genre quite brilliantly, and I’m delighted to be working with them again on two more books. They really lead the field with their innovative marketing campaigns, and their energy and commitment are inspiring. It’s rare to have this kind of chemistry between writer and publisher, and I feel incredibly fortunate."
McDonald added: "Avon are thrilled to be a part of Tess’s reinvention in this darker space–she is a phenomenally skilled writer, combining her understanding of complex relationships with twist after unexpected twist. She is bursting with brilliant ideas and we can’t wait to publish more of her books."
