Avon has snared three more books from rising crime star Helen Fields, continuing her Callanach and Turner series.
Publishing director Helen Huthwaite bought world English language rights from Caroline Hardman at Hardman & Swainson Literary Agency.
Avon says the books, which launched with Perfect Remains in 2017, have been a hit, particularly in audio where they have become its best-selling audio series.
Huthwaite said: "Helen is quite simply a star – she has captured the attention of the crime world with her intricately plotted series and brilliant characters and we’re so pleased to be able to reach even more readers with three more books. Her writing is clever, hard-hitting and unputdownable, and we’re extremely proud to be her publisher as her fanbase continues to grow."
Fields added: "I'm beyond thrilled to be partnering with Avon to produce three more books. Writing the Perfect series is an absolute joy and having the opportunity to work on a standalone too is amazing. I've loved being a part of the Avon/HarperCollins family and I'm really looking forward to building on the hard work the team has put in over the last six books."
Perfect Kill, the sixth book in the series, publishes on 6th February in all formats. It will be followed by a standalone crime novel, before Helen returns again to police procedurals.
Hardman said: "Helen is a crime writer par excellence and it’s been a pleasure to work with Avon and see their commercial acuity in action in building Helen’s brilliant series. I’m excited we’ll be working together on three more Helen Fields crime novels, which I know her fans will be itching to read!"
