B7 Media has announced an audiobook deal for a new historical crime series by Pauline Rowson.
The first novel in the series, Death in the Cove (Fathom), will be published in audio, alongside e-book and paperback editions in September.
Set in 1950s England, the book follows Scotland Yard Detective Inspector Alun Ryga, a recently promoted former Merchant Navy seaman and German prisoner-of-war, who is despatched to the Dorset island of Portland to solve an unusual and baffling case.
Rowson, a former PR boss is the author of 19 crime novels, 14 of which are marine mysteries featuring Portsmouth detective Inspector Andy Horton.
Andrew Mark Sewel, audio publisher B7 Media's executive producer, said: “I’ve known and admired Pauline Rowson’s marine mysteries ever since I read her debut DI Andy Horton novel, Tide of Death (Fathom). Pauline is an intuitive crime writer who crafts intricate plots, real page turners, always with a distinctive coastal setting. I’m delighted that Pauline has chosen B7 Media to produce the audiobooks for her new crime mystery series.”
