The Booksellers Association has unveiled its Christmas social media campaign celebrating the joy of shopping in bookshops.
The festive short film celebrates books, bookshops and shopping on your high street this Christmas, with 30” and 70” iterations. It will be promoted on the BA and BAMB social channels, with bookshop lovers encouraged to share far and wide, using the hashtag #ChooseBookshops.
The social media assets are designed to tie-in with the Christmas Books catalogue, using Yehrin Tong’s design, and are available in formats suitable for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Instagram Stories.
Alan Staton, the BA's director of strategy, said: “We wanted to stress the warmth and friendliness of shopping in a bookshop. Bookshops, more than ever, represent places of calmness and reason in our turbulent world.”
It was released as Black Friday sales started, marking a major sales period for many retailers before Christmas.
