Badcock & Rozycki Literary Scouts appoints two new directors

Katie Moran and Sarah O’Halloran have been appointed directors at Badcock & Rozycki Literary Scouts.

In a joint statement, the Moran and O’Halloran said: “Between us, we’ve spent nearly 25 years working with Barbara [Rozycki] and we’ve always been inspired by her inexhaustible work ethic and the vast database of books that exists in her memory.”

They added: “Badcock & Rozycki started in the 1980s, one of the first scouting agencies in London, and it’s a testament to Barbara that we are still going strong, and that some of those clients have been with us since the beginning. We are proud to step into our new roles as directors as Badcock & Rozycki moves into its fourth decade, and are excited to continue working alongside our wonderful clients, longstanding and new.” 

Rozycki said: “Katie and Sarah’s professional input, wise decisions, team spirit, tireless reporting and calmness during busy periods have for years made B & R a happy and stable environment in which to work. Both have been shareholders in the company for several years now, and I am delighted by their natural transition to the role of directors at B & R.”

Badcock & Rozycki’s clients include HarperCollins Brazil, Lindhardt & Ringhof Denmark, JC Lattes France, Livre de Poche France, Blessing Verlag Germany, Heyne Verlag Germany, Bjartur Verold Iceland, HarperCollins Italy, Unieboek Het Spectrum Netherlands, Bellona and Swiat Ksiazki Poland, and Anaya Spain. They also scout for BBC Studios and Severn Screen for film and TV.
