Fiona Barton has signed a new two-book deal with Transworld following the success of her debut The Widow.
Frankie Gray, publishing director, commercial fiction at Transworld, acquired British Commonwealth rights including Canadian and audio rights to two new novels from via Madeleine Milburn at the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV and Film Agency.
Barton’s debut, The Widow, was a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller, a W H Smith Richard & Judy Book Club pick and has been published in 37 countries. It was followed last year by The Child and altogether Transworld said it has sold over 450,000 copies of Barton’s novels worldwide.
Her third novel, The Suspect, will be published in February 2019, to be followed thereafter by the two newly contracted novels.
