Bath Publishing has appointed Booksource as its new distributor after the collapse of Marston. Husband and wife team David Chaplin and Helen Lacey chose to partner with BookSource as they said it "allows them to fulfil all their orders, including direct to consumer, from a single site". BookSource’s integration supports the publisher’s own back-end systems.
BookSource will also handle Bath Publishing’s new trade imprint, Cinto Press, with several new titles in preparation under that banner for 2025 and 2026.
Chaplin said: "We had been considering BookSource for a few months, but the sudden shutdown of operations at Marston sped up that decision-making process. BookSource went above and beyond to help us resume operations within weeks. We are impressed with their focus and experience. The team made a difficult time much easier for us."
BookSource customer service director, Louise Morris said: "We’re delighted to welcome Bath Publishing to BookSource. Following the unfortunate situation at Marston, our team set out to ensure the onboarding process was as quick and smooth as possible. The Bath Publishing list is a great addition to BookSource, and we look forward to supporting David and Helen in further developing their business."
The new distribution partnership comes into immediate effect.
