Sarah Batten is joining The Quarto Group as publisher for a new gift imprint, Kaddo.
Batten is currently editorial director for gift at Laurence King Publishing. She will join Kaddo on 20th September.
The new imprint launches in autumn 2023, and will publish both merchandised backlist from across Quarto’s imprints alongside new original content. The list will cover both the adult and children’s markets and will be sold worldwide. Around 20 products will be launched every year.
During her 13 years at Laurence King, Batten published bestselling projects including Do You Look Like Your Dog?, Tattoo Tarot and The World of Jane Austen, and was responsible for numerous "highly successful" partnerships with brands such as The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and Agatha Christie Limited.
