Sara Baume, Xiaolu Guo, Lola Seaton and Abigail Shinn will judge the Goldsmiths Prize 2024, worth £10,000, recognising "fiction at its most novel".
The panel will be chaired by Shinn, author and lecturer in early modern literature and culture at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Writer Baume will join novelist and filmmaker Guo and journalist Seaton, of the New Statesman and New Left Review, to form the rest of the panel.
Launched by Goldsmiths, University of London, in association with the New Statesman in 2013, organisers said the prize finds "recognises writing that breaks the mould, opens up new possibilities for the novel form and embodies the spirit of invention that characterises the genre at its best".
Shinn said: “I’m delighted to be chairing the Goldsmiths Prize in its 12th year. I look forward to seeing where the novel will take us in 2024.”
Executive editor, culture, books, ideas and print of the New Statesman, Tom Gatti, said: “The New Statesman is delighted to continue our partnership with the Goldsmiths Prize – an award that has become synonymous with the novel at its thrilling and thought-provoking best.”
The prize opens for submissions on Friday (19th January) and runs until 22nd March.
Benjamin Myers won last year’s award for Cuddy (Bloomsbury), a retelling of the hermit Saint Cuthbert.
