Bea Hemming, editorial director at Weidenfeld & Nicolson, is joining Jonathan Cape as deputy publishing director.
Hemming, who has been with W&N since 2006, was named a Bookseller Rising Star in 2014. She began her career with Orion in 2005, working in the publicity department before moving to an editorial role in 2006. She stepped up to the position of editorial director for W&N in 2013, where she has published a number of prize-winning and bestselling authors, including Simon Sebag Montefiore, Henry Marsh, Tim Spector, Ramita Navai, Gordon Corera, Philippe Sands, Anne de Courcy, Robert Twigger and Ben Wilson.
Hemming will join Jonathan Cape on 30th August 2016.
