Bloodhound Books is rebranding to reflect its new focus, which has expanded beyond crime and thrillers, as the indie publisher marks its 10-year anniversary this summer.
The new logo will be featured on the 2024 Crimefest tote bags, which will be sponsored by the publisher.
Director Betsy Reavley said that crime and thrillers are still an “integral” part of the Bloodhound Books’ identity, but explained that the publisher is also embracing literary, historical and women’s fiction. “This expansion allows us to collaborate with an even wider range of exceptional authors and bring their captivating stories to readers around the world,” she added.
The indie publishes 150 authors, and has a catalogue of more than 700 titles. It was founded in 2014 by Fred Freeman and Reavley, and was acquired by the New York-based technology firm Open Road Media in 2021. According to the publisher, the acquisition has “further fuelled the company’s growth and international recognition”.
Among its titles are The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose, which has sold more than two million copies and was the second best-selling book of 2022 on Amazon.
